The Hotel is just a few minutes by foot from the train station in Locarno. Whether you wish to marvel at the beautiful valleys of the Locarno region and all of its other fascinating features, or be enchanted by pristine nature, you can get to many of Ticino’s tourist attractions from the station, with national train and bus connections.

Not far from the Hotel you will find the jetty which is the point of departure for the many trips on Lake Maggiore and to its beautiful islands.

By car

From the A2 motorway, take the "Bellinzona Sud, Lago Maggiore” exit, direction Locarno. Continue into the city centre until you reach the lake. When reaching the lake, turn left along the lake, direction Muralto. Hotel Geranio au Lac is located on the lakeside promenade, Viale Verbano 13.

By train

Enjoy the relaxing and genuinely beautiful journey trough the Alps and the new Gotthard Base Tunnel to reach Locarno in about 2 hours from Zürich or Lucerne and 3 hours from Basel or Berne.
To get to Hotel Geranio au Lac, go towards the lake and turn left along the lakeside, where the hotel is located directly on the lake Promenade, in Viale Verbano 13, Locarno-Muralto.
